Over the years, I’ve worked on many different projects — blogs, online stores, personal pages, and small business websites. One thing I’ve learned is this: having a website still matters, even in a world dominated by social media.
The difference now is that building a website has become much easier than it used to be.
Creating a Website Is No Longer Complicated
A long time ago, creating a website meant learning code, hiring developers, or spending a lot of money just to get something basic online. That’s no longer the case.
Today, platforms like Shopify and WordPress make it possible to launch a functional, professional-looking website in a very short amount of time. You don’t need to be a programmer. You don’t need a big team. You just need a clear idea of what you want to share.
I’m already familiar with how websites work — from structure to SEO — and because of that, I see how accessible this has become for anyone willing to start.
Why I Believe Every Project Needs a Website
Social media is powerful, but it’s also fragile.
Accounts get restricted. Platforms change algorithms. Pages get taken down or lose reach overnight. When everything you do lives only on social media, you don’t fully own it.
A website is different.
Your website becomes:
- Your main hub
- Your archive
- Your backup
- Your digital business home
Even if one platform goes down, people can still find you, read updates, and understand what your project is about.
That’s why I believe everything should point back to a website, not the other way around.
How I’m Approaching Websites Now
My current approach is simple and practical.
I can help create basic foundational websites for people — blogs, personal pages, or small business sites — as long as the owner covers their own hosting and keeps control of their account. Once it’s set up, they can manage it themselves or hand it off to someone else later.
The goal isn’t to overcomplicate things.
The goal is to create a solid base.
From there:
- Social media links connect to the website
- Content lives in one central place
- Updates are easy to manage
This Website Is Part of My Story
This site isn’t just a project — it’s documentation.
It’s a place where I can write about what I’m doing, what I’m learning, and how things evolve over time. It doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to exist and grow.
That’s what makes a website powerful.
It’s not about trends.
It’s about continuity.
And that’s exactly why I’m building it.
