About me

Hello, I’m Juan Miguel Gonzalez.

This project has been years in the making.

Ritchie Glens was founded in 2010 as my original company. Over time, however, the name began to create confusion. Many people assumed Ritchie Glens was an individual rather than a brand or concept. As the work evolved, it became clear that the identity needed to be simplified and better aligned with what I was building.

That led to a rebrand under a single idea: Pedestrian.

A pedestrian is someone you see on the street every day—someone you pass without knowing their story. You don’t know their career, their background, or what they’ve survived. Just an ordinary person moving through the city. That idea became the foundation of Diaries of a Pedestrian.

My personal journey has not followed a straight path. There was a period when everything unraveled at once—no stable job, no money, no permanent place to live. I was living out of my car, driving Uber to get by. When my car eventually broke down, I began walking everywhere. Those walks gave me time to think, observe, and reset. That experience is where Diaries of a Pedestrian truly took shape.

By background, I’m a computer science engineer, and I’ve always valued structure, systems, and documentation. Writing things down helps me organize my thoughts and track progress. I’ve kept diaries for years, and documenting my life has become second nature.

Along the way, I built multiple side hustles—reselling clothing, working various security jobs, and experimenting with different business ideas. From that process, I developed my own personal brand. The Diaries of a Pedestrian logo represents resilience, adaptability, and steady forward movement, even during uncertain times.

I also enjoy creating and testing new products simply to see what works. Some ideas succeed, others fail—but every experiment is part of the learning process, and I share those experiences openly here.

This website is a living archive. You’ll find:

  • Personal blog entries and reflections
  • Reselling inventory and ongoing projects
  • Branded Pedestrian clothing
  • Experiments, ideas, and real-life documentation

Everything here is connected. It’s one continuous story—observed from the sidewalk and written in real time.

Thank you for being here and for walking a part of this journey with me.

THE LOGO

The name “Diaries of a Pedestrian” and its logo are a reflection of my life. They represent walking my own path and understanding that, at my lowest points, I am the only person who can truly lift myself up.

The logo symbolizes independence knowing that I do not need approval or validation from others, and that I am not afraid to let go of anyone who does not add value to my life.

When someone plays with my time or my emotions, I do not try to win an argument or offer explanations. I simply walk away.

Over time, I have learned that being comfortable on my own is far more valuable than keeping someone around who is not right for me.

You may be walking a similar path, but these are my diaries—and this is what the logo stands for.
